CIVIL WORKS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW 5ML RESERVOIR AT VELDDRIF

Bids are invited from registered and authorised suppliers of civil construction and associated work for the construction of a 5ML Reservoir at Velddrif. Bids in a sealed envelope, clearly marked "TENDER NO. 8/3/26-2015 : CIVIL WORKS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW 5ML RESERVOIR AT VELDDRIF” must be placed in the tender box at the Municipal Offices, 13 Church Street, Piketberg no later than 12:00 on Monday, 31 August 2015 when the bids will be opened in public. Bids will be evaluated using the Council’s Supply Chain Management Policy. It is therefore compulsory that the Preference Point Claim form for the Preferential Procurement Regulations (MBD6.1) be completed in full to make application for preference points. The Bid price must be VAT inclusive. Bid documents and specifications are available at a cost of R400.00 per set at the offices of WorleyParsons RSA, 31 Allen Drive, Loevenstein, Bellville, during office hours from Friday 31 July 2015. Only bank guaranteed cheques made out in favour of Bergrivier Municipality will be accepted. Cash deposits will not be acceptable. A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on Thursday, 6 August 2015 at 10:00 at the offices of Bergrivier Municipality, Voortrekker Street, Velddrif. Tenderers must be registered with the CIDB in a CE Class for construction works and have a grading designation equal to or higher than that determined in accordance with the sum tendered or a value determined in accordance with Regulation 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, 2004. It is estimated that tenderers will need a grading designation of 6CE or higher. 5PCE Potential Emerging Enterprises who satisfy the criteria stated in the Tender Data may submit offers. Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued. Late, incomplete or bids submitted by telegram, telephone, telex, facsimile or e-mail will not be accepted. Proof of submitting a Bid will not be accepted as proof of the Bid having been received. The Municipality is not obliged to accept the lowest or any bid submitted. The Municipality reserves the right to accept any bid in full or in part.
